Auronzo di Cadore is famous for its beautiful water landscapes set in the Dolomites.
Lake Santa Caterina, with its emerald green color, is perfect for walks and relaxing moments on the shore. The lakes of auronzo
Lakes in Auronzo are an integral part of the beauty and history of the Alpine destination. They are famous places for their sporting competitions, such as the lake in the heart of the town, St. Catherine’s Lake. Also called Lake Auronzo because of its central location, it is a man-made lake and hosts international canoe races. It is surrounded by a loop trail, which can be easily walked in warm weather, with a playground, bars, and viewpoints that allow visitors to appreciate the Dolomites reflected in the lake.
A famous lake in the municipality of Auronzo di Cadore is that of Misurina. With enchanting views of the Dolomites and the Three Peaks of Lavaredo, it is surrounded by an easy loop trail. Along its banks is the start of the Col de Varda chairlift and a large playground, as well as many typical restaurants and stores. In warm weather it is possible to ply its waters by boat or pedal boat and rent MTBs and e-bikes at dedicated points.
Finally, Lake Antorno. Along the road leading to the Three Peaks of Lavaredo, it is embraced in turn by an easy loop trail. Some of the filming of the movie “Jurassic World Dominion” was shot here. Nearby you can enjoy typical dishes and stay overnight with a view of the lake.

THE PEARL OF THE DOLOMITES
Located in the center of Misurina, the resort at the foot of the Cadini di Misurina that surrounds the lake, this water jewel is simply magical that has it all.
A loop walk surrounded by nature and yet simple. Eating tasty local dishes with views of the Tre Cime. Entertaining children at the playground in a healthy and wonderful natural setting with wild animals, Dolomite flowers and plants, and the waters of an alpine lake.
A body of water that can be ploughed with pedal boats and small rowboats in summer and on foot in winter when it freezes over and there are safe conditions.
AURONZO DI CADORE
Lake Antorno is a small alpine jewel with a stunning view of the Three Peaks of Lavaredo. Located along the scenic road from Misurina to the Auronzo Refuge, it is just before the access point to the famous mountains. Quiet and surrounded by woods, it is perfect for a photo stop, a relaxing walk or simply to admire the reflection of the peaks on the water.
Next to the lake, it is possible to stay overnight and enjoy various traditional dishes. And what’s more, you can even imagine yourself alongside dinosaurs: some scenes from Jurassic World Dominion were filmed here, with a dinosaur added to the waters of Lake Antorno.

A large lake at 850 meters above sea level, overlooking the Dolomites and in the heart of Auronzo di Cadore.
Home to triathlon competitions and international canoe races, it has a maximum depth of 49 meters.
This sheet of water of a turquoise hue now deep now clearer is surrounded by a path of about 6 km, from the bridge in Transacqua locality to the dam of Santa Caterina.
